A busy day has gotten even busier as Jonathan Hankins of Southeastern High School in Detroit has become the 16th member of the Buckeyes' 2010 recruiting class, according to Bucknuts.com (link requires membership).
Hankins, who measures at 6-3/310, is the first true defensive tackle commitment for 2010 and is the first member of this class from the state up north. He originally had some academic qualification issues, but those have supposedly been put to rest. He chose OSU over offers from Michigan, Alabama, Florida, Oklahoma, Virginia, and others.
The Buckeyes are hoping to land their second defensive tackle commitment when Shariff Floyd of Philadelphia, PA will make his announcement Saturday at the Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio, Texas.
