Most of Buckeye Nation was concentrating on the official visits of Vonn Bell, Corey Smith, Shelton Gibson, and Corn Elder, but one prospect's trip that flew under the radar this weekend was 2014 CB/WR Damon Webb of Detroit (MI) Cass Tech.

The 5-11/180 Webb made the trip down to Columbus for three days with his mother and father. After taking the time to get a deeper look at the university, including hearing about academic programs of interest and spending time with the staff, Webb decided to pull the trigger and committed to Urban Meyer over other favorites Michigan, Michigan State, and LSU.

Webb becomes the second member of Ohio State's recruiting class of 2014, following the pledge of Marcelys Jones on Christmas Day. He is a superb athlete that could play cornerback or wide receiver at the next level, but the Bucks recruited him for the secondary where he had 42 tackles with 7 interceptions, 10 pass breakups, and 4 forced fumbles as a junior.

He is rated as a four-star prospect, ranked as the eighth best cornerback, and slotted as the 82nd best player in the nation by the 247 Composite for the class of 2014.

The good times keep rolling for Urban Meyer and the Buckeyes on the recruiting trail. Be sure to stay tuned to Eleven Warriors for the latest news.
