We last saw Rutgers rescind the rescinding of Eric LeGrange's invitation to speak at their commencement. Today, they're back in the news for kicking one of their quarterbacks, Minnesota transfer Phillip Nelson, off the the team.
Nelson faces charges of first-degree assault and third degree assault for allegedly kicking a 24-year-old man in the heard during a weekend fight in Mankato, Minnesota. Isaac Kolstad, Nelson's alleged victim, is currently clinging to life. The fight allegedly started over Nelson being upset about attention paid to his girlfriend.
