Another day, another high-profile athlete accused of violence against women. Today's lucky winner is 24/7's 2014 No. 1 running back, Joe Mixon.

Mixon, originally from California, was seen as coupe for the Sooners when he commited to Oklahoma. If accusations that came to light this morning are true, however, Mixon will never play a meaningful minute for the Sooners.

From USA Today:

Mixon's attorney, Kevin Finlay, told The Norman Transcript on Friday evening that Mixon had not been arrested, but was "fully cooperating with authorities and look forward to resolving this matter."

According to an incident report obtained by USA TODAY Sports, at 2:44 a.m. Friday, Norman police responded to a report of an altercation at Pickleman's Gourmet Café, located in the Campus Corner district adjacent to the University of Oklahoma campus. Notes from the report indicate "a female was hit in the face by a male subject – (subject) is gone – she is in the bathroom – she is (conscious) and she is intoxicated – she is bleeding from the mouth – no difficulty breathing."

Violence against a woman is never a good idea, and fleeing the scene of an incident like this is especially dumb.

The woman, a 5'7" 130 lbs freshman, accused Mixon of harassing her group of friends before attacking her. Naturally, after having her face broken in four places, she wants justice against her attacker:

Molitor also told The Oklahoman she hopes Mixon serves time in prison.

"That's what he deserves," she said. "I don't care if he's the star running back or not."

Obviously, Mixon is innocent until proven guilty.
