Auburn's Jeremy Johnson was supposed to be the next man up after the departure of Nick Marshall. It hasn't gone according to plan, however.
Auburn is 2-1, but after a near-escape from Jacksonville State and a throttling at the hands of LSU, Johnson has been benched by Gus Malzahn.

White is a redshirt freshman and former four-star recruit from Hollywood, Fla.
