James Franklin will know what he has in his 2015 team after its Saturday night game with No. 1 Ohio State.
The Nittany Lions are 5-1 entering their trip to Columbus, but that one loss is to Temple. Franklin's men have won five straight since then, but the offense has looked tepid — at best — during large swaths of play.
Franklin is aware the measuring stick awaits.
Franklin says that Ohio State is like watching a DI team playing an FCS school. FCS school hangs for a half, gets worn down in second.

The Penn State coach is hyper-aware of Braxton Miller. "He's just a really, really dynamic option. We watch Braxton on film; he's playing wide receiver like he's played it his entire life," Franklin said, according to PennLive.com.
Saquon Barkley, a talented true freshman running back, hasn't suited up for the Nitts in two and a half games. Franklin said it's not his call, but will come down to a "doctor's decision."
Ohio State fans will also get a glimpse of the most majestic kicker in American football:

Joey "Big Toe" Julius missed two extra points and was pulled from the Lions' 29-7 home victory over Indiana last Saturday. The big fella, however, got a vote of confidence from his coach.
"Joey is our guy," Franklin said.
