Remember when the Big Ten was bad at football? Those were dark times. Thankfully, we weathered the storm.

The Associated Press released its weekly poll Sunday afternoon. Alabama still reigns as No. 1, but the Big Ten is well represented with No. 2 Ohio State, No. 3 Michigan, and No. 5 Wisconsin.

In fact, the Big Ten placed three teams in the top five of the AP poll for the first time since 1960.

Penn State at No. 8 can maybe maintain the Big Ten's new standard next week when the loser of the Ohio State–Michigan game likely tumbles out of the top five.
