Is Purdue back? Purdue might be back, folks. (Purdue isn't back)
The Boilermakers reportedly are set to hire a coach a bunch of other schools wanted. Western Kentucky's Jeff Brohm is heading to West Lafayette.

And it sounds like the Boilermakers backed up the Brinks trucks to get Brohm, who went 30-10 in three seasons (15-1 in the Conference USA) at Western Kentucky including a pair of bowl wins.
Purdue made a HUGE commitment to Jeff Brohm; Am told six-year deal will be worth around $20 million.

Brohm made a little over $800,000 in base salary has head coach of the Hilltoppers, who ranked second in the nation in scoring offense this season with 45.1 points per game. Darrell Hazel made $2.1 million in base compensation before he lost his job in October after going a miserable 9-33.
Rebuilding the sinkhole that is Purdue is quite different than keeping Western Kentucky afloat and moving but it seems like the Boilers are tired of being the doormat of the Big Ten.
