Ohio State blows out Indiana, 38-15. Now, it's time to do the same to That Team Up North.
Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson finished second to Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson in 2016 Heisman voting.
It's more a testament to Jackson's alien stats not a slight on Watson's campaign of 4,443 yards of total offense and 43 touchdowns. But Heisman voting won't alter Watson seeing himself as the best player in the country.
From espn.com:
"I'm the best player in the country. That's how I think. That's how I feel. People have their own way of voting," Watson said Monday as Clemson wraps up its first week of practice before playing Ohio State.
Dabo Swinney, a coach to quick to defend his players (as long as it doesn't involve paying them), rationalized the voting by saying Watson was so great for so long people became numb to his greatness.
"I think Deshaun is so good, people are numb to it," Swinney said.
Watson will get the stiffest test of his season on Dec. 31 when he and the Clemson Tigers take on the Ohio State Buckeyes.
