Fayetteville, Arkansas police arrested Oklahoma starting quarterback Baker Mayfield in late February and jailed him overnight on charges of public intoxication, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest.
Mayfield, originally a spectator with, according to the police report, food covering the front of his clothing. The obviously intoxicated man wouldn't stop shouting profanities at police and refused to obey commands.
Baker tried to flee, and it didn't end well for him. Video of the shortest foot race in the world can be seen above (warning: NSFW audio).
At the 0:18 mark, Baker makes his move before officers gang-tackle him into a concrete barrier.
No word from Bob Stoops on Mayfield's punishment yet. The Sooners host UTEP in Week 1 of 2017 and head to Columbus for a date with the Buckeyes in Week 2.
