Many people are wondering why, with all the other firings going on, why Rutgers is choosing to hang onto its mediocre-to-subpar football coach, Kyle Flood.
They may not wonder for much longer as Rutgers fired its athletic director, Julie Hermann, on Sunday morning.
From app.com:
Hermann is out Sunday after a meeting at the home of Rutgers president Robert Barchi, who hired her and was her biggest public supporter during some rocky times, Gannett New Jersey has learned.
Rutgers-New Brunswick Chancellor Dick Edwards, who co-chaired the committee to hire Hermann along with booster Kate Sweeney, was seen arriving at Barchi’s home at 12:10 p.m.
Hermann arrived about 15 minutes later. The meeting lasted 11 minutes.
Looks like we'll know Flood's status by tonight:
I'm told Rutgers has a staff meeting this evening and could learn their fate then.

Big Ten East coaches will certainly pour one out for Flood if this is the end.
