I had a 72 Pontiac Ventura that I bought for $1600 in 1977 at Avery Pontiac at Hamilton and Broad here in Columbus (Ken Avery was a LB for the Bengals). That was expensive for a first car back then, but I was 18 and a manager at Donatos Pizza with all kinds of "play money".
The Ventura was a sister to the Nova and this one could get up and go with a 350 4 barrel. It had rally wheels and a set of Mickey Thompson's. And of course no 18 year old kids car was complete unless it had a killer stereo, no 8-track for me, I had a Pioneer am/fm cassette with Jensen speakers. Pretty boss for an 18 year old.
Man I miss that car. I wish I had a picture of it, but this one is close, except for the 565 big block, lol
