Lou Holtz's 11,000 s.f. house in Florida caught fire and nearly burned to the ground on Sunday, June 20th. It suffered extensive damage. Speculation is that lightning was the cause.

Regardless of what you think of Holtz's on-air personality and ability, I don't think anybody likes seeing a 78 year old man's house burn down. It's gotta be tough to come home to something like that.
