Former Ohio State Buckeyes guard (and Dayton product) A.J. Harris just signed his first professional contract with KB Vllaznia in Albania's Basketball Superliga. After the NCAA denied his request for a medical redshirt this past year at New Mexico State University he had no choice but to go pro.

This is a good landing spot for Harris, as KB Vllaznia is one of the country's best pro teams. It's the oldest pro basketball team in Albania (started in 1919), and has won quite a few championships.

Harris will join a couple of other American players already playing for KB Vllaznia in Colin Voss (North Texas), Jordan Martin (Missouri State), Justin Ross (Winston-Salem State), and Devonte Thomas (Augusta University).

While running point for New Mexico State, A.J. Harris helped lead the Aggies to the first-ever undefeated regular season in WAC league play this past year before COVID cut the postseason short. During his tenure with the Aggies, Harris helped NMSU defeat a number of Power 5 teams, including Illinois, #6 Miami, Washington State, and Mississippi St.

Good luck to A.J.! Once a Buckeye, always a Buckeye.
