1994 THE TACKLES FOR LOSS SEASON THAT HAS BEEN LOST
With 20 tackles for loss Matt Finkes and Mike Vrabel are currently tied for fifth on the all-time single season list with Will Smith. However, if you look closely at the numbers you will see that the 1994 was a special year for the defensive linemen. Finkes and Vrabel finished the '94 season tied for the most tackles for loss in a single season in the history of Ohio State football. The two combined for an astounding 40 TFLs.
2014 WAS ALMOST LIKE 1994
Darron Lee finished the 2014 season with 16.5 tackles for loss. Had Lee collected two more TFLs it would have been the first time since 1994 that two Buckeyes finished in the top 10 of tackles for loss in the same season. Bosa's and Lee's combined 37.5 tackles for loss is still very impressive.
