PETE JOHNSON THE TOUCHDOWN MACHINE
Although Archie Griffin received the awards and accolades, Pete Johnson scored the touchdowns. When the Buckeyes neared the goal line Johnson's number was usually called. When Pete Johnson finished his career he had 20 more touchdowns than Harold Henson who was ranked second in rushing touchdowns at the time.

CAN ANYBODY CATCH PETE JOHNSON?
If a player stays four seasons he will have to average 14 touchdowns each season to tie Johnson. If the player is scoring like that he will probably leave after three years. That puts the average at just under 19 touchdowns per season. Johnson has held the record for close to 40 years and my money is on it being his for the foreseeable future.
