Hey, hey, it's another release of Tatum. You're now viewing the site on Tatum 1.3.3 and this release cleaned up a handful of things both visible and behind the scenes, while adding a couple of new features we hope makes the site better and easier to use.
- New comments really stand out now. As in the entire comment is yellow, not just the comment header. This should make finding new comments easier, but the downside is it could present of sea of yellow. Let's see how it goes for a bit.
- Speaking of comments, we've implemented a feature: You now have 10 minutes from when you publish a comment to edit it. After that, it's locked in. No more trolling and then going back to save your skin when the downvotes arrive. Hopefully, this encourages members to think about how they comment a little more.
- Now, GIFs on the front page do not play unless you hover over them. We're always thinking of your mobile data plans here at 11W GLOBAL CORP Inc, LTD, GmBH.
- A few of you reported issues seeing your 12W subscriptions settings on your profile page. This should be fixed and you can get to these settings from one of the tabs at the top of your profile page.
- Fixed a weird bug where single header videos for articles weren't pulling in the correct thumbnail image from YouTube for the first 12 hours or so after the video was published. You've seen it. It was the weird, gray, empty background before a video is clicked to play.
- There was a problem with the top menu being delayed on hover (desktop). This has been fixed.
- Some instances of "page jerking" or jumping after voting on comments were still giving people issues. This should be fixed. Please let me know if the page is still scrolling after you vote on a comment.
- The registration form now forces potential new members to verify their email addresses. No more mails to me from people that are wondering where their account is when they couldn't type their email address correctly.
- Small thing, but all pages, save for a couple of 12W forms, are now redirected from HTTPS to HTTP. Eventually, we'll probably become a 100% HTTPS site, but we have some work to do before then and those of you who were browsing the site under HTTPS were experiencing small issues we must fix.
- You can now get to Eleven Warriors Dry Goods from the top menu. Hooray, commerce!
- This site is now using Mandrill for email delivery. Registration, password resets, etc. all flow through Mandrill, which should help with deliverability.
Thank you for your continued support.
