Ohio State athletics paired with Soles4Souls again this summer, establishing another joint effort to provide sneakers and other service to those in need in Jamaica.
The first wave includes 11 student-athletes — including football players Billy Price and Raekwon McMillan — and three full-time staff members. It departed for the Caribbean Wednesday and arrived Thursday afternoon for a week's worth of volunteer work with the underprivileged.
Buckeyes on the trip include McMillan, Price, men's basketball player Keita Bates-Diop, women's soccer player Lindsey Agnew, pistol shooter Elizabeth Buerling, women's gymnast Michelle Burns, women's basketball player Asia Doss, men's hockey player Christian Lampasso, recently crowned national champion and men's volleyball player Miles Johnson, men's soccer player Tyler Kidwell and women's volleyball player Kylie Randall. Read more about them here.

Burns and Kidwell even took some time to blog about their experience in the first few days on the job in hot and humid Jamaica, which you can read here. More blog entries from more athletes are on the way.
Ten more Ohio State student-athletes and three more full-time staff members embark on a similar trip to Bolivia Aug. 7.
Kudos to you, Buckeyes.
