Ohio State sophomore forward Marc Loving has "temporarily lost his privilege to wear the Scarlet and Gray," the school announced Wednesday evening.
Loving did not travel with the team and will not play tonight against Purdue. At this time, it remains unclear what exactly was done to warrant Loving's suspension.
The Toledo, Ohio native is the Buckeyes' second-leading scorer, averaging 11.7 points per game. He's also the top 3-point shooter in the Big Ten, connecting on better than 53 percent of his tries from downtown.
Loving tied a career high with 19 points his last time out, an 80-56 win for Ohio State over Maryland.
