We knew Jared Sullinger suffered a stress fracture in his foot and was out indefinitely. Today, however, we received the specifics.
The NBA's Boston Celtics announced Jared Sullinger, averaging roughly 11 points, seven rebounds, and one assist per game this season, suffered a left metatarsal stress fracture and is done for the season.
February, as it turns out, is a bad month for Sullinger's health. In 2013, Sullinger was ruled out for the season after undergoing lumbar disk surgery. Sully, however, rebounded last season to play in 74 out of the team's 82 games.
The Celtics are 20-32 this year, and currently resided in third place of the Atlantic Division. As for this impact on the team, I'll let the emoji-based testimony of Celtics fans stand on its own:
