Virginia has been one of college basketball's most consistent teams over the last two seasons. The Cavaliers finished last year as the ACC regular-season champions at 30-4 and were a No. 2 seed in the NCAA tournament, but fell to Michigan State in the third round. The Spartans went on to advance to the Final Four.
The season prior, Tony Bennett's squad went 30-7 and won the ACC regular-season and tournament titles. The Cavaliers were a No. 1 seed and advanced to the Sweet 16 before being eliminated by Michigan State.
Other key non-conference matchups already known for Ohio State include neutral games against Kentucky (part of the CBS Sports Classic in Brooklyn), Memphis (part of the Hoophall Miami Invitational) and a road game at UConn.
In last season's ACC-Big Ten Challenge, the Buckeyes traveled to Louisville and fell 64-55 to the Cardinals.
