D'Angelo Russell said he wore No. 0 at Ohio State because it represented the number of people who could guard him.
Last night, the Lakers released a draft night graphic that seemed to indicate Russell would dawn the double zeroes in the pros, but it looks like that wasn't meant to be.
It looks like Russell will instead wear No. 1:

Russell did say he was the best player available in the draft, and No. 1 has never been the number of the meek.
And yes, it's also assumed that No. 1 will be worn on the front of his jersey as well.
