The Los Angeles Lakers made D'Angelo Russell the No. 2 pick in the NBA Draft a few weeks ago, but he officially joined the team today.
Eric Pincus of LATimes.com is reporting the Lakers and Russell have agreed to a four-year, rookie-scaled deal "likely" to total $23 million.
The former Ohio State phenom is expected to net $5.1 for his efforts in the upcoming campaign. The Lakers will retain club options for the third and fourth year of Russel''s contract.
Not bad at all for a guy who just turned 19.
