Ohio State likely needs to win at least three games in next week's Big Ten tournament to have a legitimate case to make the NCAA tournament. It may actually need to win the entire thing.
And after falling 91-76 to Michigan State earlier Saturday, the Buckeyes found out their seed for the league tournament Saturday night following Iowa's 71-61 win at Michigan. Ohio State will be the No. 7 overall seed in Indianapolis and will open up against the 10th seed 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
The Buckeyes' opponent won't be known until Sunday as it can be any one of the following three teams: Nebraska, Penn State or Northwestern. TheOnlyColors.com has a breakdown of potential scenarios for that No. 10 seed here.
The Nittany Lions host Illinois noon Sunday while the Huskers travel to Northwestern at 2 p.m.
Should Ohio State win its opening game, the Buckeyes would face second-seeded Michigan State in the quarterfinals.
