Chris Mack is another popular name in Ohio State's coaching search.
The current head coach at Xavier, Mack has a career record of 187–91 with the Musketeers and has been to the NCAA tournament seven times in eight seasons.
He is one of college basketball's hottest young coaches, so it makes perfect sense he'd be considered a top candidate for the Ohio State job.
However, it doesn't appear he should be considered as much of a contender anymore. Scout.com's Brian Snow initially reported that late Tuesday evening.
Going forward it sounds like Chris Mack, Archie Miller, and Sean Miller can be removed from any Ohio St coaching speculation

But, as it often does, the internet ran wild with speculation Wednesday with Mack's house in Cincinnati reportedly on the market. Turns out Mack is indeed moving, but to another house in northern Kentucky. It also appears like he has no intention to leave Xavier for Ohio State.
My timing for this house sale, well . But we are moving to NKY. Love Xavier! Now, about that house we have to sell... any takers?

Mack is a Xavier alum coming off an Elite Eight appearance. He has a really good thing going in Cincinnati, but he was always going to be tied to this Ohio State opening.
So, too, was Sean Miller. The Arizona coach previously worked under former Ohio State head coach Thad Matta at, you guessed it, Xavier. Miller, however, doesn't appear to be destined for Columbus either as the Arizona president recently told azcentral.com Ohio State would have to hire Miller "over my dead body."
The Columbus Dispatch reported Wednesday current Buckeyes assistant Chris Jent would interview for the job.
There will surely be other candidates, as well. It just doesn't appear like Mack is one of those anymore.
