The four-star end chose the Buckeyes over offers from Michigan, Michigan State, Iowa, Kentucky and others, and in doing so, becomes Urban Meyer's fifth commitment in the last 10 days. Hello, hot streak.
Jones picked up his offer from Ohio State in late February and the Buckeyes have been considered the favorites since. He visited Ohio State for the first time in March and at the time said Ohio State had set the bar high, but he wanted to continue exploring his options.
Following a visit to Michigan at the end of March, Jones picked up an offer from the Wolverines, giving him something to think about. Although Jones called Ohio State his "childhood dream school," like many local prospects, he kept an open mind during the process. In the end, the dream school was the right fit for Jones.

Jones brings great size and athleticism to Ohio State's defensive line, where he projects as a strong-side defensive end. He also plays basketball, which gives you an idea of how good of an athlete he is at defensive end.
As a junior at St. Ignatius, Jones collected 43 tackles and five sacks. He played alongside Ohio State 2014 signee Kyle Berger in the Wildcats defense.
