Delaware, Ohio linebacker Ethan Tucky knows that the recruiting process is not always as fast as it is for others. The 6-foot-2, 210 pound linebacker, holds early offers from Boston College, Eastern Michigan, and Toledo, but is hoping to prove to the coaches that he deserves more offers. Ohio State is waiting to check out some early game film.
They know that he has all the tools to play the linebacker position. He won a smoke house competition at one of the camps, being the fastest linebacker there, and we all know how Urban likes speed. They are hoping to see more linebacker play from Tucky early in the season, and he has been working to achieve that offer.
"Our team is 1-2 which I am not happy happy about, I want to do better" Tucky told Eleven Warriors. "I am happy with my individual performance though. I am doing my best to help the team anyway I can."
Tucky visited Ohio State this past weekend when they took on Kent State. It was not his first time to Ohio State, but nonetheless, it was everything he had expected an more.
"It was great!" Tucky told Eleven Warriors. "Winning 66-0 is not bad at all (laughs). But I was on the 45 yard line, three rows up. I was a part of the 105,000 fans, and you just cannot beat that. It was awesome. I didn't get to check out the facilities again or the campus because I got there a little late, but just everything about the game was amazing."
Tucky is hoping that his performance on the field can show the coaches that he deserves an offer. He is in no rush to make a decision and is hoping that an offer from Ohio State comes earlier than later. Tucky is going to be one of the best players in Ohio by the end of 2016 and could earn an offer from Ohio State by the end of the season. If/when the Buckeyes offer, Ohio State's chances are very good.
