Ohio State has offered 2015 running back Ke'Shawn Vaughn, a 5-foot-10, 205-pounder from Nashville, Tennessee, tonight according to his Twitter.

Vaughn has offers from Wisconsin, Louisville, Purdue, California, Duke, Tennessee, and nearly a dozen others. The Ohio State offer stands out to him, he says.

"(Ohio State) is a very big offer to me," Vaughn told Eleven Warriors. "It shakes things up a bit. My previous top five was Louisville, Purdue, Vanderbilt, Tennessee and Wisconsin."

Now that the Buckeyes have offered, Vaughn says an official visit to Ohio State is in the works.

"I've spoken to (Buckeyes' tight end coach Tim) Hinton for a couple months," he said. "He said they've liked my game, that I'm a balanced running back. I have good hands, speed and power. I will get up there for an official visit, but I don't know when yet."

Up to this point, Vaughn has only been on one visit – he was at Purdue last weekend.

"I took an official to Purdue, it was really nice," Vaughn said of the trip to West Lafayette. "I'm really looking for a place I can get a great education, a place that feels like family. I'm also looking for a place I can play kind of early, too."

As the offer from Ohio State is unexpected, Vaughn says he's not too familiar with the Buckeyes at this point. More importantly perhaps for the Buckeyes, is that he says Ohio State being a touch "late" with the offer isn't being held against them.

"I don't know much about Ohio State, and I've not talked to Urban Meyer yet," he continued. "I've got a lot of research to do on them. All the schools that have offered me are even, and I'm not going to look past anyone just because it took them longer to offer.
