As is often the case, Rashad Roundtree chose staying close to home, and the University of Georgia, over Ohio State in a ceremony at his school this morning.
So with much prayer and discussion with my family, I have decided to verbally commit to play college football at the University of Georgia

The country's sixth-ranked safety, Roundtree made an official visit to Ohio State last weekend and many had speculated that the timing of his announcement could be a benefit for the Buckeyes. Instead, it appears the visit was cursory and a decision had already been made before the trip took place. Ohio State has added Georgia cornerback Josh Norwood to its 2015 recruiting class on Monday night, but Urban Meyer's restless approach to recruiting had hoped to reel in Roundtree as well.
The decision by Roundtree keeps the door open for the Buckeyes and Richmond, Virginia defensive back Garrett Taylor, who officially visits Columbus on November 22nd.
