Welcome to The Hurry-Up, which runs Sunday through Thursday, serving as your last stop for recruiting news and notes nightly. We'll recap the day as it happened and preview the days ahead while keeping our ear to the ground on the Ohio State recruiting scene.

BRISCOE REMAINS KEY TARGETS

With 24 commitments in the bag for 2015, Ohio State's recruiting class is undoubtedly approaching the finish line. There's a potential for two-to-three more names to be added the ledger but the defensive line and defensive backfield still remain the last two priorities. There may be no player ranked higher on the list than Juwuan Briscoe, the cornerback from Thomas Stone High School in Waldorf, Maryland.

"Briscoe is, what we think, a no-brainer" one source shared. "He can fly, he can cover and he can hit. He'd really round out this class."

The question had to be asked then, is Briscoe still a player Ohio State is feeling good about landing?

"Yes," the source said. "We still think we're the best fit for him and I think he knows that we've made him a priority. Does that mean he's in? Not at all, but the cards are on the table."

DEAN READIES FOR OHIO STATE

Today was a big day for Ohio State commitment Jamel Dean: his final day of high school.

"It feels great," Dean said of being done with high school. "I'll be at Ohio State on January 8th."

Dean, the second commitment in Ohio State's 2015 class, has not been discussed as much as some players in the recruiting class, but don't let the silence from his end fool you: he's all Buckeye and will push for playing time on special teams and in the secondary next fall."

BURROW GETS BUCKETS

Don't think that just because his senior year of football is over that you've stopped hearing about Athens' 2015 quarterback Joe Burrow's athletic endeavors. This week, Burrow became just the second basketball player in Bulldog history to score 1,000 career points.

First Mr. Football, is Mr. Basketball next? Burrow averaged 16 points per game as a sophomore and as a junior; a big senior season on the hardwood is likely to cement him as one of the most prolific athletes in the history of Southeast Ohio.

TALKING 2016 TIGHT ENDS

Early in the 2015 recruiting cycle, it appeared Ohio State was working hard to try and land two top tight ends in the "Elite '15." Now, with six weeks until signing day, there are exactly zero pure tight ends in the class and with the probability of adding one close to nil, the focus looks like it will shift to 2016.

While 2015 seemed to have a new name pop up almost weekly, especially last spring and summer, that does not appear to be the case for 2016. Jake Hausmann and Luke Farrell remain the priorities in 2016 and that is unlikely to change until one or both decide to matriculate somewhere other than Columbus. The third-ranked and seventh-ranked tight ends in the country respectively, the Ohio duo are both rumored to favor the Buckeyes. Ohio State has a commitment from Maple Heights' athlete Kierre Hawkins in the 2016 class, but he's more likely to play a role similar to the one currently being played by freshman wide receiver Noah Brown.

Hausmann has stated that a decision could come in mid-February, and Farrell is likely to make his choice in early spring.
