Cocoa, Forida's Jamel Dean surprised a lot of people when he committed to Ohio State back in December of 2013.
Many people at the time said the four-star CB would never suit up for the Buckeyes. Those people were right of course, though not for the reasons they prophesied.
Dean, OSU's second commit of the 2015 class, stuck with his commitment all the way through National Signing Day. Unfortunately, he was not cleared to play by Ohio State's medical staff.
OSU offered Dean a medical hardship waiver, allowing him to stay on scholarship at Ohio State, but Dean declined in order to seek footballing opportunities at other institutions.
Today, Dean found a home: Auburn University. Though it's not immediately clear if Dean will be included in the Tigers' 2015 or 2016 class, it does look as though his playing days aren't finished yet:
God keeps blessing me and for that I'm thankful! I will be attending and playing football at Auburn University! I'm a tiger once again

For the record: Cocoa High School's mascot is a tiger.
Best of luck to Dean as he continues his career. I, for one, will always be a fan.
