Special teams don't win all the games — usually just the close ones.
Ohio State coach Urban Meyer — a special teams sage — knows that better than anyone, which is why putting in time on kickoff coverage or elsewhere first usually aids young players in getting on the field elsewhere.
Kickers usually are emancipated from that credo, but 2017 Buckeye kicker commit Blake Haubeil caught Meyer's eye for his powerful right leg, a big reason he earned a scholarship.
Haubeil decided to show off that leg Monday afternoon, when his Canisius High School football team started practice.
Who knows how well Haubeil will do when a rush is coming at him once he gets to Columbus, but this seems good.
