The Hurry Up is your nightcap of Ohio State recruiting news, catching you up on the day’s events with an ear on the ground for what’s next.

MORE ON TYJON LINDSEY

Earlier this afternoon, we posted a story on the developing relationship between Las Vegas standout wide receiver Tyjon Lindsey, a 2017 five-star at Bishop Gorman High School, and the Buckeyes.

The Buckeyes, from what I've been told, have gone "all in" on recruiting Lindsey, who is well aware that the position he excels in, as a slot receiver, will have some vacancies by the time he's on campus. While that position is loaded right now (Braxton Miller, Jalin Marshall, Dontre Wilson and Curtis Samuel will each get time there), only Curtis Samuel – who would be a senior in 2017 – could be left on the roster.

"I have realized that," Lindsey told me about the depth chart opening up by that time. "I want to know more about how I can contribute."

PRYTS COMMITMENT, PUBLIC OR NOT, COMING SOON?

Stop me if you've heard this before: a weekend decision could be coming for Andrew Pryts. Yes, it's been rumored before, and yes, Pryts hasn't confirmed that it's a certainty, but with a timeline that has been "before the start of his season" drawing to an end, the rumors are that something could be done this Saturday.

Pryts joked with 11W that he understands the confusion surrounding his decision date.

"(Laughs) I've never set a decision date," Pryts said. "But, yeah, I've said 'in two weeks' probably the last two months (laughs). I do want to get it out of the way soon, whether that's publicly or not."

FULLER VISITS RUTGERS

One of the top remaining targets on the Ohio State defensive backs board is New Jersey's Jordan Fuller who, according to this Scout.com video, recently took a visit to Rutgers.

Fuller has told 11W multiple times that he's very close to the Ohio State staff and that he plans on visiting the school again this fall but that he's unsure if they'll get one of his official visits. Rutgers, it appears, made a good impression, at least according to NJ.com writer Todderick Hunt.

"Rutgers is in a good spot. I definitely like it up there," Fuller told NJ.com. "I'll probably be back for a game, also."

He also shared his father's thoughts on the trip.

"He was impressed," said Fuller. "We went to practice last year and it was different. There was a different tone to the team, to the practice and how they went about it. So he was very impressed. And then he's more focused on the school  I go to rather than like football, so he was really excited to see all that stuff, too."

Expect his decision to not get made until close to signing day.

MORE ON CLARK'S IMPACT AT HOBAN

Last week I talked to Drew Sarachman, the offensive coordinator at Akron Archbishop Hoban, about how Danny Clark has adjusted to his new offense. Yesterday, FridayNightOhio.com had a chance to talk with Tim Tyrrell, the head coach at Hoban, and his reviews of Clark were equally positive.

“I just know that from the moment he got here, he’s been a good kid,” Tyrrell said of the transfer from Massillon. “I like coaching good kids. He’s willing to work. Everything I ask him to do, he does. He’s a good kid.

“I don’t base that on if Urban Meyer is recruiting you.”

Clark, the country's 12th-ranked pro-style quarterback, has endured much criticism since he burst into the national spotlight as a freshman in Massillon. With constant development and growth on the field, Clark's game might be catching up to what has been his most important asset: leadership.

“He’s just a great kid. A great leader,” said Tyrrell, beginning his third season as Hoban’s head coach. “He’s meshed very well from the moment he became a student at Hoban, whether it be on the football field or in the classroom. He’s engrossed himself in the school.”

On Thursday night, Clark and the Knights will meet a familiar foe: Canton McKinley. The game will be televised live on Time Warner Cable's Sports Channel.

COOPER NOW COMPOSITE FIVE-STAR

Last month, 247Sports.com bumped Gahanna Lincoln defensive end Jonathon Cooper to a five-star prospect, the first site to grant him that distinction. While no other site has chosen to promote the quarterback terrorist to that rarified air, the recent ratings bump Cooper received from Rivals.com has moved him to a "composite" five-star; a more accurate and compounded ranking system.

Big move for Cooper to composite five-star

Cooper opens his season this weekend on the road against Westerville Central, Friday night at 7:30 p.m.
