The surprise here is no Notre Dame on the list, as the Irish has been kind of the surging favorite since the summer, but it appears they may have run out of room in their class with potentially six defensive backs already in the fold and a seventh–Tony Pride, Jr.–expected to commit to the Irish soon.
The Buckeyes haven't seen the 6-foot-1, 185-pound Hamlin on campus much since the summer, but he's still debating an official to Ohio State and that would be huge in their attempts to land the country's 12th-ranked cornerback.
Pitt remains the favorite, but the Buckeyes have been there since the start and that's not something that Hamlin and his family take lightly.
