Earlier this evening, a report from Scott Greene, the managing editor of Maryland's Rivals.com site, reported that Keandre Jones, a four-star linebacker who has been committed to the Terrapins since December of 2014, has flipped to the Buckeyes.

Jones, the country's ninth-ranked outside linebacker, has been a top target for the Buckeyes for a while, but–as a Maryland commit–he'd not been actively searching out other options. In the last month, as the Terrapins began realigning their coaching staff under new head coach DJ Durkin, an opportunity to make a move emerged and the Buckeyes, along with Florida and others, began increasing their contact.

Jones, a 6-foot-3, 200-pounder from Olney, Maryland, has not made a public decision and Eleven Warriors has been unable to confirm the report of the commitment.

There's a chance that Jones, who made his official visit to Ohio State this past weekend, informed the Maryland coaching staff that he'd be leaving their recruiting class and that the information was then "leaked" by the Maryland side of things.

11W is working to gain confirmation about Jones' decision from the player, his family or Ohio State and we'll be sure to update the situation as soon as possible.
