Ohio State's 2017 recruiting class is shaping up to be one of the best in recent memory and we now know when it could grow even stronger.
Five-star wide receiver Trevon Grimes from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, announced Tuesday on his Twitter account he will tell the world where he plans to play college football on Aug. 24.
Grimes released his top-six schools on June 6 and naturally, Ohio State was among them. The Buckeyes, Alabama, Georgia, Florida State, Florida, and Miami are all finalists for Grimes' services, which is reiterated in the video above. Grimes has stated multiple times that Ohio State is the favorite to earn his commitment.
Grimes has not been to Columbus since before his sophomore season, but the Buckeyes are scheduled to see him later this week during a satellite camp at his high school. Additionally, Grimes intends to visit Ohio State's campus later this month.
A 6-foot-3, 202-pound specimen, Grimes is rated as the 28th best player in the class of 2017 and fourth-best wide receiver in the country according to 247Sports.
