The Buckeyes have held off the rising Tide, as Jacksonville, Florida, Trinity Christian five-star cornerback Shaun Wade has reaffirmed his commitment to Ohio State. The fourth-best corner and No. 22 overall player in the Class of 2017 announced the decision on Twitter Monday.

Wade became the second member of the current recruiting class on Jan. 12, 2015, the same day Ohio State beat Oregon to capture the inaugural College Football Playoff National Championship, but continued to look at other schools in the almost two years since to make sure he was making the right decision.
After visiting Alabama, Florida, Notre Dame and Virginia Tech this fall, the 6-foot-1, 177-pounder decided he want to stick with his commitment. Many believed Wade would ultimately flip his pledge to the Crimson Tide, though he never gave a verbal indication that his pledge was wavering.
In fact, Wade proclaimed he'd win a national championship at Ohio State after Trinity Christian captured its fourth-consecutive state title on Saturday.
Wade's decision means Ohio State has officially locked in commitments from three of the Top 16 cornerbacks in the Class of 2017, joining four-stars Amir Riep of Colerain and Marcus Williamson of Bradenton, Florida, IMG Academy.
