For months, there has been speculation about five-star cornerback Shaun Wade's commitment to Ohio State.
But after Jacksonville, Florida, Trinity Christian wrapped up its fourth state title in a row with a 24-13 win over Chaminade-Madonna on Saturday morning, Wade declared he'll continue his winning ways in Columbus.
The 6-foot-1, 177-pounder became the second member of the current recruiting class on the same day Ohio State beat Oregon to capture the inaugural College Football Playoff National Championship, but has continued to look at other schools in the almost two years since to make sure he's making the right decision.
Wade visited Alabama, Florida, Notre Dame and Virginia Tech this fall, but only the Crimson Tide seem to be a legitimate threat to flip the fourth-best corner and No. 22 prospect overall in the Class of 2017.
He'll announce his final decision on Jan. 7, 2017, at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio, Texas.
