You've probably already heard by now, but in case you haven't, Ohio State landed a huge 2018 commitment Wednesday as four-star running back Jaelen Gill pledged to the Buckeyes.
Gill is Ohio State's fourth commitment in the 2018 class. He joins five-star quarterback Emory Jones, four-star running back Brian Snead and four-star safety Jaiden Woodbey. The Buckeyes are off to a tremendous start in their 2018 haul as all four current commits rank as top-50 prospects nationally.
Gill, a 6-foot-1 185-pounder, is a versatile athlete who likely projects as an H in Ohio State's offense. He is the No. 32 overall player in the country and second-ranked player in the state of Ohio behind only five-star offensive tackle Jackson Carman.
A product of nearby Westerville South High School, Gill committed to Ohio State on Tuesday in front of a packed auditorium. He opened with a speech in which he thanked everybody along the way who helped him, then he showed his commitment video to the crowd.
There were quite a few people stunned when Gill chose UCLA at what was thought to be the end of his video. But then after a brief pause, the video continued and the four-star prospect picked the Buckeyes.
Eleven Warriors has videos posted above of Gill's speech, his commitment video and we also caught up with the star running back afterward where he discussed his commitment. Check it out.
