Urban Meyer makes north of $4,000,000 annually, so it's no surprise he retires every night to a magnificent compound. His wife, Shelley, who teaches a spinning course and a nursing course at Ohio State, is still adjusting to five-degree temperatures and white sand being replaced by "kind of white" snow.
Her beloved plastic pink flamingos also violated her Home Owners' Association agreement. (Proving yet again that Home Owners' Associations are the worst.)
The full tour of Meyer's house can be found HERE. (You're damn straight there's a picture of Wayne Woodrow Hayes on Urban's walls.)
Most interesting, however, is her take on how Urban handled his first loss as Ohio State frontman. She says Urban, who "can't stand" to lose, handled the loss "okay" and has a "changed perspective" now. That's about as good an answer as we could expect.
And on his long-term future in Columbus?
“This is the last job. I mean, no matter what people say on Twitter, or message boards, or what – THIS is the job.”
Does this mean he'll have insane career longevity?
“I really honestly don’t believe he will coach that long. It’s just too hard. He just goes too hard.”
I don't think I'm alone when I say: May Urban Meyer coach Ohio State for the next 300 years!
