Ohio State's quest to rebuild an offensive line that lost four starters received a major boost this afternoon, as former Alabama center Chad Lindsay has chosen to sign with the Buckeyes, according to CBS Sports' Jeremy Fowler.
Lindsay started four games for the Crimson Tide last season and is a former three-star recruit from Woodlands, Texas. He has already graduated from Alabama and will be eligible to play immediately.
Lindsay visited Ohio State, Michigan, Cal, Louisville and Oklahoma.
So far this spring, Pat Elflein (right guard) and Taylor Decker (left tackle) are the only two players to nail down starting jobs on the offensive line. The 6-foot-2, 302-pound Lindsay becomes the front-runner to replace departed center Corey Linsley. Jacoby Boren and Billy Price split first-team reps during the spring.
