Last year, walk-on receiver Joe Ramstetter became the first freshman to lose his black stripe and officially join the ranks of The Ohio State University football team.
This year the first inductees come as much less of a shock: running back Curtis Samuel and linebacker Raekwon McMillan.
Samuel and McMillan enrolled at Ohio State in January, and Urban Meyer has been effusive in his praise of the two freshmen standouts since their arrival. Both will see sizable chunks of playing time this fall.
(As to what this does to the 11W Black Stripe Game, I'll defer to the pool's overlord, BassDropper.)
