The Game's kickoff is officially listed as TBD, but intrepid 11W member Bucknut3 brought up something interesting in ye ol' forum earlier this evening:
So this is interesting. It appears as if Ohio State may have released the start time for The Game. If you go to the official Beat Michigan Week page on Ohio State's website here http://beatmichigan.osu.edu/, it shows a countdown clock until the game, which would end at 8 p.m. In addition, under the events tab of that website, it shows the "OSU-Michigan Football Game" as being November 29 @ 8:00 PM - 11:30 PM.
Indeed... Ohio State quickly updated the event page, but here's a screenshot from earlier this evening:
For context, however, here's OSU athletic director Gene Smith in July:
“Dave Brandon, the athletic director at Michigan, and I constantly have conversations that that should not be a night game, and it will not be a night game,” Smith said. “It won’t be (at night) this year, nor in following years.”
But, Dave Brandon is no longer there, and Ohio State could use another primetime game as a playoff showcase (as well as in its recruiting efforts). Things change, and there's a reason why the game is still listed as a TBD.
Would Michigan — with its interim AD — acquiesce to such an opportunity for Ohio State? That's another question entirely, too.
