Ohio State demolishes Tennessee, 42-17, and advances to the Rose Bowl to face top-seeded Oregon.
While some folks will point to the level of competition: there's no doubt 2015 commit Joe Burrow's statistical production is insane. In his senior season at Athens High School, Burrow has thrown 53 touchdowns compared to one (1!) interception. (He also has five rushing touchdowns too.)
Last night, however, the three-star prospect and Ohio State commit added 319 passing yards, 135 rushing yards and seven total touchdowns in a 52-20 victory over Columbus St. Francis DeSales in a regional final of the Ohio DIII high school tournament.
Perhaps most impressive, however, was the touchdown pass he threw to himself. It could have just as easily been his second interception of the year, but instead the clips ends with Burrow hitting the Bosa Shrug like the cool customer he is.
Burrow's Bulldogs advanced to play two-time defending state champ St. Vincent-St. Mary next week in the semifinals.
