DALLAS — Oregon will be without the services of wide receiver Darren Carrington in Monday night's national championship game against Ohio State, per a report from Comcast Sportsnet Northwest's Aaron Fentress.
According to Fentress, Carrington failed a recent drug test and did not travel with the team to Dallas.
So far this season, Carrington, a redshirt freshman, has 37 catches for 704 yards and four touchdowns. In Oregon's 59-20 win over Florida State in the Rose Bowl, Carrington had seven grabs for 165 yards and a pair of scores.
Oregon takes on No. 4 Ohio State on Monday night.
