Last week, Doran Grant said he'd heard his stock would get quite the boost if he were to show out at the NFL Combine.
It's the defensive back's day at the NFL combine, and after posting 21 reps on a 225 lbs. bench press, Grant posted a 4.44 unofficial 40-yard dash time in his first run.
In his second time, Grant posted essentially the same time at 4.46. According to people smarter than me on Twitter, it was important for Grant to post a sub-4.5 40-yard dash, and Grant breezed past that mark.
On Grant's official draft page, lists one of Grant's weaknesses as "lacking speed to stick with true vertical threats." I know there's speed and then there's NFL speed, but I'd think Grant answered some questions today.
Florida State's Ronald Darby posted the fasted time among corners: 4.32. Grant's cousin, Devin Smith, posted a 4.42 40-yard dash time over the weekend.
