So, as you might have heard, the SEC's lizard king, Paul Finebaum, said a source told him there's "a chance" Braxton Miller will transfer to Alabama.
Now, maybe it did, maybe it didn't. That's the beauty of filing a report like this: Even if Finebaum hadn't heard that — he gets paid to move the needle, after all — it's not like it can be refuted, even if Braxton stays in Columbus.
However, it's impossible to unring a bell. So as such, Michael Casagrande of Al.com caught up with Saban in Huntsville, Alabama, as part of something called the "Crimson Caravan Tour."
Saban claimed he had no idea to whom the reporter was underhandedly referring, but he did leave open the possibility of adding a graduate transfer down the road.
"I'm not really to talk about any other players on any other team. I know nothing about any such rumors. I don't even know who you're talking about but I don't know about any of those things."
"If there was somebody out there that I thought could help our team, we have a spot or two available that we could probably ... but it would have to be the right person in the right place that could make a contribution because that would be something that would have to be good for that person and it would have to be good for us."
Braxton Miller could help any team, but especially a team with championship hopes that has lingering question marks at quarterback like Alabama.
Pretty clear here that if Braxton wants to go to Tuscaloosa, he'll have a spot. Whether that happens, well, that remains to be seen.
