Every coach in America preaches a commitment to their players that goes beyond the gridiron. Urban Meyer is one of the few who doesn't need words.
Fourteen Ohio State footballers — who are all majoring in financial planning or have a career interest in the field — spent four hours Tuesday morning at the offices of JPMorgan Chase & Co.
The 2-million-square-foot complex is said by the company to only be second to the Pentagon in terms of America's biggest office structures. Ohio State players spent time with Chase recruiters and representatives "learning what it takes to land a job with the company," among other things. They also held a panel discussion with recent OSU grads about working at Chase.
Jamie Dimon, the chairman and CEO of JPMorgan Chase, previously met with the football team as part of Meyer's "Real Life Wednesdays."
Those that attended: Kyle Berger, Joe Burger, Jalyn Holmes, Cardale Jones, Evan Lisle, Donovan Munger, Sean Nuernberger, Tracy Sprinkle, Logan Gaskey, Joe Ramstetter, Darius Slade,Jacoby Boren, Raekwon McMillan, and Ron Tanner.
"This was a great experience," LB Joe Burger said to OhioStateBuckeyes.com. "It was really interesting to see this company from the inside, and to learn what Chase is looking for in its employees but also what it is like to actually work here once you are here."
