We saw J.T. Barrett doing ladder drills last month, and we knew he must be close to his official return from ankle surgery.
Today, we got another update from Urban Meyer while he spoke at a youth camp outside of Ashtabula, his hometown:
Urban Meyer said today J.T. Barrett is at 95% in terms of his recovery from his fractured ankle.

Urban says Braxton is "almost ready" and JT Barrett is "95 percent" and said he expects "the competition will be intense."

There's no question — just go back and review the fourth quarter/OT film against Penn State — that Barrett could play if Ohio State opened up against Virginia Tech tomorrow.
Thankfully (for Barrett, anyway) the season doesn't start tomorrow, and the reigning Big Ten Freshman of the Year should be 100% healthy heading into fall camp, which is only 39 days away.
