It's officially official.
Months after Eleven Warriors first reported that Ohio State would go black for Penn State, and an hour after the jerseys surfaced online for sale today, Nike released the full black uniform the Buckeyes will wear in two weeks.
Today, Nike and The Ohio State University football team unveil the first-ever black Buckeyes uniform. The head-to-toe look, which is punctuated by scarlet numbers outlined in gray, characterizes the unyielding confidence of the eight-time national champions. The Buckeyes will wear the alternate uniform at home against Penn State on October 17.
As you can see in the photo gallery above, the Buckeyes will wear black pants and a matte black helmet along with the jersey that leaked earlier this week in a retail form.
Here's a better look at the actual jersey the team will wear, courtesy of SID Jerry Emig:

In addition to the uniform, Nike is releasing the Ohio State “Black Pack,” a collection of retail jerseys, t-shirts, a hat and a new pair of black Ohio State football Air Max TR180s.
